Day 01: Reception – Walk – River Safari

The journey begins when you arrive in Puerto Maldonado and are transferred to board an outboard boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately 1 ½ hrs downriver).

Upon arrival you will enjoy a tasty lunch made from organic ingredients and native flavors. After lunch you will take a walk along the natural trails, where you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, man-made transformations, and its relevance to the world.

At the end of the day we will have an interesting excursion, sailing along the Madre de Dios River at night, to learn about its ecosystem, Amazonian ravines, and the behavior of nocturnal fauna on the river banks.

Returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a restorative traditional dinner.

Meals: Lunch and dinner

Day 02: Artisan Chocolate Session – Rescue Center

As usual after breakfast we start our tour and depending on the weather conditions we can enter the farm during the morning or afternoon.

On this tour you will be part of a unique session where you will learn in depth about the different cacao fruits and the ways they are grown in our area. You will have the opportunity to see, touch and taste the cocoa pod and beans. We can visit the neighboring farms, the botanical garden or the organic farm surrounding the ecolodge to find the cacao tree, depending on the season.

We will return to the Cayman lounge and you will participate in the process of preparing artisanal chocolate in the Amazonian and rustic style. We will be there to roast, peel, mix and mold the final products that Wonka and everyone loves.

In the afternoon we will visit the RESCUE CENTER, it is a place where a non-profit organization works and encourages the rescue of animals to reintroduce them into their wild life, on our way we will also visit the Canopy tower, to see the beauty of the rainforest and some birds that come out of the treetops. Breathe health, breathe amazon!

Our day ends with a traditional dinner at the caiman dining room.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

Day 03: Sunrise and Departure to Puerto Maldonado

Our team says goodbye today and offers a last and tasty breakfast. In the morning we recommend being in the public hammock area to capture the true Amazonian spirit and enjoy the breeze of nature.
