Day 01: Reception / Walk in the Forest / Night Safari

The journey begins when you arrive at Puerto Maldonado to embark on an outboard boat along the Madre de Dios River to Ecolucerna Lodge (approximately 1 1⁄2 hours downstream). Upon arrival you will enjoy a tasty lunch made from organic ingredients and native flavors. After lunch you will take a walk through the natural trails, where you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary forest, its components, uses, man-made transformations, and its relevance to the world. This walk will end at night where you will have the opportunity to observe the behavior of the nocturnal flora and fauna of the Amazon.

Returning to the Lodge you will enjoy a traditional restorative dinner.

Immerse yourself in a culture zone by interacting with local communities, learning about their traditions and participating in authentic cultural experience

We visit a local tribe and experience which run by women artisans in the Ese Eja Palma Real community, where authenticity and connection with nature are intertwined in an exceptional way. Our hoest will awaits with a warm welcoming and traditional dances to invite you to know the Ese Eja culture through guided tours and artisan workshops. Our visit contribute to preserving this Amazonian cultural gem asa heritage of tehir knowledge.

By the afternoon we comeback in the lodge to rest and enjoy the enviorment

Today you will live a day of many emotions, after having a nutritious breakfast, you will get ready for a walk along the Tambopata National Reserve, which will lead you to Lake Sandoval. Here you will understand why Madre de Dios is known as the biodiversity capital of Peru.

You will learn about the conservation work of the Reserve and about the formation of the lake, sailing in a canoe through this mirror of water, home of the endangered giant otter, the blue and yellow macaw, and one of the freshwater fish . largest in the world “el Paiche”. After this adventure deep into the heart of the reserve,we return and enjoy a restorative drink, before taking a nap.

At night you will have an interesting night excursion, you will navigate the Madre de Dios River, to get to know its ecosystem, Amazonian streams, the behavior of nocturnal fauna on the banks of the river. Our day ends with a traditional dinner in the dining room.

This morning you will be free to enjoy the sunrise and capture the impressive views of the Madre de Dios River. You will enjoy one last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from our pantry before leaving.

Your guide and the staff will be ready for a farewell and thank you for your visit to our cozy place.

You will travel by canoe with an outboard motor back to Puerto Maldonado. According to your flight departure time,
